Stories Need Words and Visuals

I tend not to fret when some people say the written word is being overrun by images and videos. One, I don’t believe that’s the case. Words undergird all stories, regardless of how the stories are told. Two, words are a basic form of communication. The focus on why storytelling is important seems to be changing. People now want to know “how” to tell their stories. It’s a shift I don’t mind.
